Royal Pet Boarding for Rockingham's Coastal FamiliesA Home Away From Home for Rockingham Pets

Between the beach walks and the off-leash runs, Rockingham dogs get a lot of freedom, and that’s what they’ll find at Camelot too. Set on 20 acres in nearby Karnup, our resort offers grassed play areas, supervised care, and a team that’s been at it since 1986. Just a short drive from Rockingham, so your next trip away is one less thing to plan around.

Why Rockingham Pet Owners Keep Coming Back

Rockingham locals are spoiled for dog-friendly beaches and off-leash areas, great for a daily walk, but not built for a multi-day stay.

Our 20-acre grounds in Karnup give your pet real space, real supervision, and a team who’s been doing this since 1986:

Space beyond the beach
Genuinely grassed grounds, well beyond the reach of the beach car park.
Book ahead, relax after
Secure your spot early for school holidays, peak season, or a longer trip away.
Small dogs, their own space
Kept separate from bigger breeds during play, so nobody feels overwhelmed.
Decades of experience
A team that's done this since 1986, not a business still finding its feet.

Not sure if it's the right fit? We're happy to talk it through before you book.

Royal Peace of Mind for Rockingham Pets

Leaving your pet in someone else’s care is a big decision, more so when there’s a drive between you and Karnup. At Camelot, we’ve built our reputation on three things: experience, compassion, and consistency.

For Rockingham families, that means:
– Just 10-15 minutes from Rockingham’s beaches and foreshore, set on 20 acres in Karnup.
– Open grassed grounds to run, well beyond the reach of the beach car park.
– Separate accommodation for dogs and cats, with two kennel areas split by size.
– Daily exercise and enrichment, so beach-loving dogs still get to burn off energy.
– Trained staff on-site during operating hours, not a rotating roster of casual sitters.

Whether it’s a Penguin Island trip or a longer getaway, you’ll get clear updates throughout the stay. That’s the Camelot difference, and it’s why so many Rockingham pet owners come back year after year.

Before You Head Up from Rockingham

A few things we need sorted before your pet’s first stay:

Vaccination — Dogs: current C5 certificate · Cats: current F3 or F5 certificate (minimum F3)
Flea & worming — recommended, not required
Behavioural assessment — a short pre-visit check before your pet’s first stay
Own food (if supplying) — pre-portioned, labelled, +1-2 days extra (fee applies; free if vet-prescribed)
Bedding & toys — provided by us, no need to pack; we can’t take responsibility for personal items brought in

It’s about 10-15 minutes from Rockingham to our Karnup grounds — one of the shorter drives on this side of the Peel region. Allow a few extra minutes at drop-off so our team can properly settle your pet in.

Pet Boarding for Rockingham Families

How close is Camelot to Rockingham?

About 10-15 minutes’ drive — we’re set on 20 acres in nearby Karnup.

Do dogs and cats stay in the same area?

No — dogs stay in brick kennels split by size, cats have their own separate Royal Cattery.

My dog just needs day care while I'm at work — do you offer that?

Yes, there’s a daily rate and a 10-day bulk pass available for day care only.

Do I need to bring my pet's own bedding or toys?

No need — we provide all bedding and toys. We recommend leaving personal items at home, as we can’t accept responsibility for anything damaged or misplaced during the stay.

What do I need to bring at check-in?

A vaccination certificate (if not already on your pet’s profile), any medications clearly labelled with instructions, and — only if supplying your own food — pre-portioned meals with a day or two extra (a fee applies for owner-supplied food; no charge for vet-prescribed diets).
